Madaa Center organized the “Awnah” Initiative for the second year in a row, with the participation of volunteers from the youth groups of the center and volunteers of the Big Brother / Big Sister program.

Where the participants helped Um Amin, one of the women of the Center, harvest the olive trees in her land.

The event included several activities, including the preparation of a traditional Palestinian breakfast on firewood, which contained fried tomatoes made into a sauce to dip, cream cheese, yellow/white cheese, oil and thyme as well as Taboon bread which are a Palestinian custom during the olive harvest season.

After eating their breakfast, they began to harvest the olive trees to the tunes of Palestinian songs associated with the olive season.

Madaa Center’s aim of these initiatives is to develop the spirit of cooperation, volunteering and teamwork among participants in the youth groups.
