Madaa Creative Center- Silwan organized a day for religious education in its three branches: “Main Branch Wadi Hilweh, Ein Al Loza Branch, and Batn Al Hawa branch” with the participation of more than 100 children.

The day of religious education included several activities related to the teaching of religion. In the main branch in Wadi Hilweh, coordinator Hanadi Al-Abbasi said: “Today was filled with spirituality, the spirit of teamwork and cooperation among children, where we discussed with children the values and ethics of Islam, and the proper way of ablution and prayer, we also displayed a film about values, and then organized religious contests then distributed gifts.”

In the Ein Al Loza branch, Coordinator Abeer Al-Abbasi said: “The children washed up for prayer step by step, and then we prayed noon prayer (Dhuhr) together and discussed with the children many topics including the importance of prayer, and the respect of prayer calling (Adhan) and the pillars of Islam and faith (Iman), as well as the principles of Islam on ethics, respect, obedience, humbleness and friendship.”

In Batn Al Hawa branch coordinator Nemati Sanad said: “On the day of religious education, the children watched educational programs about good-neighborliness and removing harm off the road. The children learned from these programs the meaning of charity (Sadaqah) and the steps of ablution, and then we prayed noon prayer (Dhuhr) together. There was also a segment for religious singing (Nasheeds).

Social researcher at Madaa, Hanan Salim, said: “we chose a day for religious education at the Center to introduce children to good deeds, and to the importance of being virtuous in being honest and faithful. We also taught the children ablution and prayer, and finally we opened the doors to register for the course of Quran recitation at the Center.
