Madaa Creative Center’s main branch in Wadi Hilweh neighborhood - Silwan opened its doors to children from all the villages of Jerusalem to participate in its courses.

The day before yesterday, an open day for Rap was organized and the doors of participating were open for children who want to learn rap and write its lyrics; each child performed a rap song to the teacher to be evaluated and to know his/her level in this art. During the open day, the Dandara group which was part of the evaluation committee performed a rap show to the new members of the course.

Madaa Center presented rap performances in France this year, where children of “Dandara Al Hurriya”- (Freedom) and “Dandara group” participated in the performances. “Dandara group” is considered the first band that was founded by the center in the field of “rap”.

Yesterday, Madaa organized an open day special for Dabkeh, and opened the doors of opportunity for the children who want to join in learning Dabkeh folk dance.

The new members presented individual performances for the trainer to assess their Dabkeh movements.

It is noted that Madaa group for Dabkeh folk dance performed shows last year in Spain.

In the upcoming weeks, Madaa Creative Center will announce the registration days for the other courses such as “Aikido, circus, football, Quran recitation, photography, creative writing, etc.”
