Madaa Creative Center with all its branches organized a variety of activities for children on the occasion of the Palestinian EarthDay on its 41st anniversary.

About 90 children participated in the activities that were held in Wadi Hilweh, Ein Al-Loza and Batn Al-Hawa. They explained to the children about Earth Day; on this day in 1976, the Israeli government decided to confiscate 21,000 acres of land from the villages of Arraba and Sakhnin. In Madaa’s main branch in Wadi Hilweh, a mural on Earth Daywas made with the participation of 30 children.  In Ein Al-Lozabranch, with the participation of 35 children, they drew the map of Palestine with stones; the children also wore crowns, each holding the name of a displaced village. In Batin Al Hawabranch, children learned a great deal about the Nakba, the refugees and the displaced villages through cultural activities and events which involved 35 children.
