Madaa Creative Center organized a tour to the city of Nablus to a group of Jerusalemite prisoners’ mothers’ and the mothers of martyrs Mutaz Hijazi and Abd Al Rahman Shalodi.
More than sixty women from the women of Madaa Center participated in the tour. The tour included a visit to the Old City and the Turkish bath in Nablus. The tour provided anopportunity for the women of Madaa Center and the mothers of martyrs and prisoners to integrate and get to know each other more closely.
The vice principal of Madaa Center, Sahar Al Abassi, stated that “The primary goal of the tour was to honor the mothers of martyrs and prisoners, and to spend leisure time with them away from daily pressures, in addition to expanding their circle of friends and acquaintances , and lifting their spirits.
Abbasi added: “We at Madaa Center care over this segment of women, and take pride in them, for they are the role model of strong, patient and resilient Palestinian women, and the tour was more of a relaxation for them.
Khulud Al A’war, the mother of prisoner, Suhaib Al A’war, one of the participants in the tour, stated that “We suffer from a lot of pressure, mostly missing our captivated sons, other than the hardships we endure due to the far visits, as well as the constant fear and anxiety on our sons inside the Israeli jails. We thank Madaa Center for this relaxation tour, we got to know each other closely, and today we felt that we are supporters not grievers.
