At Batn Al Hawa branch- Silwan, Madaa Creative Center recently organized an open day for children and their parents entitled: “A Day of Joy and Fun”, and another open day for women in its branch in Batn Al Hawa in the village of Silwan, with the participation of dozens of children, parents and women.
A Day of Joy and Fun
The Social and Psychological Department at Madaa organized an open day for children and their parents in the Center's branch in Batn Al Hawa – Silwan. The Deputy Director of Madaa, Sahar Abbasi, said: “One of the main goals of this day is to break the barriers between children and their parents, where children interacted with their parents through participating in activities, games and competitions and also by watching the clown show together.”
She added: “The open day was held in Wadi Hilweh branch, and is planned to be held in the town of Issawiya, to allow children and their parents to live in an atmosphere far away from the harassment of the occupation, and the pressures of life.”
An Open Day for Women
The Cultural Department organized an open day for women in cooperation with the YWCA and the Palestinian center for guidance.
Abbasi said: “One of the most prominent stations today was the talk about vocational education and its importance to women, and about her opportunity to find work from “learning a profession”, and one of the women talked about her experience in the field of vocational education, we also talked about the subject of violence against women and we watched a film dealing with this issue. In addition, we had artistic activities.”
