Madaa Creative Center hosted mothers of prisoners as well as mothers of the martyrs Mohammad Abu Khdeir and Ayman Al Abbasi in a meeting attended by more than fifty women from the village of Silwan, in collaboration with the Women's Studies Foundation.
The meeting started by screening a film that tells the story of five Palestinian mothers who have lost their children to either martyrdom or arrest, and the mothers are: martyr Mohammed Abu Khdeir’s mother, the mother of the martyr Ayman al-Abbasi, and the mothers of the prisoners Suhaib Al A’war, Mousa Al Qawasmi, Dahoud Al Joulani and the released prisoner Tariq Oudeh.
The film was produced by the Women's Studies Foundation within the project “Supporters of the loss”.
The women of Madaa shared stories of their sons who went through arrests and gave moral support to the mothers of martyrs and prisoners, in addition to providing them with symbolic gifts. The assistant principal of Madaa Creative Center expressed how proud she is to host these mothers; she said that Madaa Center is their second home and that her and her team are always ready to support them.
