Silwan Tarsum Art School

The Silwan Tarsum art school opened its doors for the youth of Silwan in November 2007.
Art classes are given twice a week for a group of girls and a group of boys between the ages 10 and 14.

This year (2009-2010) Madaa has received a donation from the Jerusalem Fund for the art lessons. The art school is also sponsorsed by the Barbur Art Gallery (www.barbur.org) and Prelude (www.preludefund.org).

For the 2007-2008 school year, the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design Jerusalem (www.bezalel.ac.il) granted scholarships to four excellent students, who in return taught in Silwan Tarsem.
